For those of you who read my last A/W18 fashion trend piece with Intu Potteries, you’ll know that I teamed up with the Staffordshire based shopping centre for their Autumn/Winter fashion shoot. I tried out so many items of clothing from their huge array of stores across the shopping centre, taking part in their photoshoot to showcase the latest trends.
My last blog post featured the fabulous check trend, which is huge this season in coats, jumpers and skirts. But the next one had to be my favourite, as it was centred around the mighty party season looks and focused on The Silver Partywear Trend.
The beauty of this trend is that it doesn’t just have to based around sparkly dresses and evening wear. You can work the metallic silver trend into everything you wish, like the metallic Converse and Tommy Hilfiger sneakers above, both from Schuh.
However, I have to say, if I’m going to wear a silver partywear trend, I like to go full out! So I fell in love with this silver sparkling sequin belted jumpsuit from Debenhams. It looks brilliant teamed with the oversized glittering clutch bag and shoes too, perfect for a Christmas party look.
But, I have to say this jacket below was the star piece for me during the shoot. Just how fabulous is it? Something I would probably not have dared to wear beforehand, but seeing it styled with a black roll neck top and skinny black trousers, it’s actually just the right show-stopping piece I need in my life.
And if you can’t go bold and all out there at Christmas, when can you?
This sassy sequin silver jacket is from Accessorize and comes in at £99. It’s definitely that ‘star piece’ of the season. Here, it’s teamed with a clutch and shoes, also from Accessorize (bag – £29, and shoes – £59)
Toning it down and pairing it back a little for more of a Winter, cosy style is this Primark look below. I loved the jumper so much and actually need to head out and purchase it myself. It’s fluffy and warm, coming in at just £13, and teams up well with the skinny black trousers with silver metallic detailing down the side.
The trousers cost just £10 – what a bargain! Can always rely on Primark for on-trend, fast fashion that works the trends perfectly.
The accessories in this shot really make the outfit and finish it off, giving it that desk-t-drinks glam factor. The large sequin clutch bag costs £10 from Primark, and the classic black heels are a steal at £12!
I’ve always been a silver girl over a gold girl any day, so I felt this trend was an ideal one for me to help style up. You can see more fashion trends and advice over at the Intu Potteries website here.
