We all want to be able to look and feel beautiful every day. It is a huge part of life and something which allows u to go about our daily business feeling confident and happy. When we come to creating the ideal beauty routine for us, it is important to think about the many products which are out there for us to try and also the chemicals in these products.
This is why today we are taking a look at some of the best natural beauty remedies and how you can bring these into your daily routine to make life easier and help you shine.
Vaseline has 2 main uses we are going to look at. First of all, Vaseline is great for helping your eyelashes stay thick and strong, and it can also be a great thing to use when you are dyeing your hair. When dyeing the hair you can apply Vaseline to your head and ears and this will stop you getting stained with dye.
2. Apple vinegar and hot white tea
If you have some stubborn acne which just doesn’t want to go away, you can use this natural remedy to help clear the skin. Simply mix ½ cup hot white tea and ½ cup Apple cider vinegar and leave it to cool. Then use a Cotton pad to apply to places where you have acne. This is a handy way to balance the pH of the skin and also clear your complexion.
3. Homemade lip stain
If you enjoy having pink lips but hate the feeling of lipstick on your lips, we don’t blame you. Some people don’t enjoy the feeling of heavy lip products and we have a helpful trick for you to help with this. You can simply mix a pink blush with some lip balm into a paste and place this on your lips as you normally would with balm. Your lips will be pretty and pink in no time!
4. Apple cider rinse
Apple cider vinegar has a few handy uses for the skin and the body, and this next one is focused on the scalp and the hair. When in the shower, once you have shampooed and rinsed, take ½ cup of Apple cider vinegar diluted in water and pour this into your head.
Rub gently in and then rinse off. The acid will dissolve any residue from the shampoo and make your hair shiny, and it will also help your scalp to stay healthy by getting rid of dead skin.
5. Make perfume last
Vaseline has yet another use for your beauty routine and this one is a great little trick. If you are always annoyed that your perfume doesn’t last when you wear it, you can change this fact by spraying perfume on top of Vaseline on the skin. Vaseline will hold the perfume for longer and help the fragrance last much longer.
6. Use coffee for brown hair
There are lots of different ways which we can boost the colour of our hair naturally. For example, redheads can use things such as cranberry juice and cinnamon to boost their locks; blinded can use lemon juice, and brunettes can use coffee.
Coffee is naturally brown and it can help to stain the hair and make it look richer and deeper. It is a wonderful choice if you feel like your hair is becoming a little dull and lifeless.
7. Strawberries and baking soda
Before you head here and book yourself in for a whitening treatment, a great idea for you to try this week is a mixture of strawberries and baking soda. Mix together a few smashed strawberries and baking soda and use this as a toothpaste. It will brighten your smile naturally and it will also help you to strengthen your teeth on the whole.
8. Mint leaves for dark circles
This next tip is one you may not have heard of before and it is great for those of us (all of us) who struggle with sleep and end up with puffy eyes in the morning. Dark circles under the eyes can be the bane of our lives and it is annoying for us to deal with if we aim to look fresh.
However you can mash mint leaves and apply these under the eyes for 20 minutes, rinse it off and your eyes will be brighter!
9. Honey and turmeric
If you have some stubborn spots which won’t go away, the best thing you can do is make a paste out of honey and turmeric and apply this to the spots.
Once you apply this leave it for an hour before rinsing off. Honey will starve the bacteria of oxygen and turmeric will reduce swelling to leave the skin feeling fresh and light once more.
10. Rose water toner
The last tip we are going to share is to create a beautiful skin toner for the face to help balance pH and keep the complexion clear. All you will need to do for this is boil some rose petals for 20 minutes in a pan, let the water cool, add to a spray bottle and spray on your face whenever you feel like your skin is a little dry!
11. Hair oil
Homemade hair oil is the number one amazing treatment for your hair which will help it to stay thick, strong and will encourage it to grow. Creating a hair oil couldn’t be simpler and you can use a mix of many common oils:
- Argan oil
- Macadamia oil
- Castor oil
- Olive oil
- Avocado oil
- Almond oil
By combining some pile into a small bottle, you can apply to your hair and rub in, leave for an hour and then wash out. If you are able to do this once a week it will make a world of difference to your locks. You’ll be able to enjoy dyeing and thick and shiny hair every single day!
