Since living in Manchester City Centre, I have found myself relying more and more on food outlets. It is really easy to just pop out for a few sociable drinks after work, or spend all day in the City on a weekend. I was recently introduced to Barburrito, a Mexican themed grill eatery, and now I am hooked. But before you think I might be highlighting a fast food, junk food style place, then I am most certainly not. I’m currently under going a healthy eating regime and after studying Barburrito, it is actually a healthy place for me to grab food!
Starting food from scratch everyday, with a variety of different meats, vegetables, salads and rices, you can pick from a selection of the standard burrito wrap, burrito bowls, tacos or nachos, made fresh instore everyday. The best avocados are used, along with pinto and black beans simmering for over 2 hours with cumin, onions and tomato’s. I found this all out from researching on the internet before paying a trip, but when I visited the Piccadilly Gardens branch, I saw it all for myself. Every time I go, I opt for the shredded pork option with spicy beans, and it is honestly one of the best foods I have tasted!
If I am feeling a bit naughtier, I’ll throw in some nachos with cheese sauce… and you can even pick up a bottle of beer, pretty good for a Friday lunch break. But like I say, health kick is on going at present… so just the healthy burritos! I don’t usually give a thanks to staff on the blog, as I doubt they read it anyway, but I would like to point out on this occasion that the staff at Barburrito Manchester Piccadilly Gardens were really efficient and didn’t mind how long I stayed in there taking up tables, which was great to see.
If you are out and about in Manchester and are looking for a more casual, come-and-go place to dine, why not see why I love it so much!
