I always remember the first time I tried Aperol. It was around two years ago, and Aperol came to Manchester’s super cool Spinningfields with a pop up tent, serving up the ice cold drink with it’s bright orange colour. I remember enjoying a glass with a couple of friends, all of us feeling rather trendy on what had been a really hot day, sipping this fashionable orange drink.
Just as it’s orange colour is quite unique for a drink, it’s taste is also one of a kind too. Think of bitter and sweet oranges muddled with herbs and a bit of a ‘tang’ – it’s so delicious and perfect for Summer. If you haven’t had the chance to experience the drink yourself yet, then the perfect opportunity is coming up!
Aperol will be touring it’s pop-up bar across a number of locations across the country, helping to get summer underway with an Aperol Spritz. The bar will be visiting London, Manchester, Bristol and Brighton between May and August, providing a great night for everyone who wants to come down. There will be music, Aperol Spritz, an Instaprint booth and lots of other surprises! An Aperol Spritz is the ideal drink for starting the evening and for any social occasion. It can be enjoyed before dinner as a true Italian aperitif, as a lighter option at an after-work get-together or combined with food. To make the perfect Aperol Spritz is really easy: just fill a wine glass with ice and pour in 3 parts Prosecco, 2 parts Aperol and 1 dash of soda water, then just garnish with a slice of fresh orange.
