Fashion: The Snakeskin Rare Dress and Kold Cocktails

Everyone needs a stunning dress in their wardrobe for the run up to the party season, don’t they? Well I think I have just found mine, with huge thanks to Rare. Sometimes wearing an animal print such as snakeskin can be slightly daring, but Rare are retailing this Grey Snakeskin strappy style with the print featured in subtle shades of grey and white to make it classic, sophisticated and smart…

I am currently loving wearing midi dresses, as the knee skimming length still looks great with heels, but also adds that grown-up feel and more ‘luxe’ feel to the dress. This style in particular is fairly low cut but not too showy, and the skinny straps make way to a fairly open back with a criss cross detailing. This dress is perfect for those work Christmas parties or celebration themed meals with friends over the next few weeks.

This beautiful dress has also been seen worn by Samantha Faiers from TOWIE fame, so it does have that celebrity touch too! You can purchase it from Rare for £36.00. They have some fantastic dresses just launched in time for the party season, so it’s worth checking out the dresses page to explore a range of sequin, bandeau, bodycon and little black dresses. But they have made it uber-easy for us with a dedicated Christmas dress section which has pulled together all their shimmering favourites!

As we are onto the conversation of the party season, I was made aware of a new cocktail collection called Kold Cocktail – a brand bringing Kold frozen cocktails to us as a new alternative alcoholic drink. If your anything like me, you will love cocktails! They make drinking and celebrating much more fun. The taste of spirits and mixers alone, or wine for that matter, is sometimes not that enjoyable for me, however give me a cocktail menu and I’m in heaven. But the problem is, I don’t usually have all the spirits and juices to create these at home when hosting a party or pre-drinking, so this is where I was very intrigued about this brand…

With these cute pouches of Cosmopolitan, Mojito and Lychee Martini, they are to be frozen, in a whole ‘freeze, squeeze, enjoy’ process. You pop them into the freezer, and when you are ready to indulge in ‘home-made’ cocktails (you can pretend!) you just let them slightly defrost a little, then squeeze them from the pouch into your glass and enjoy frozen, slushy, fruity cocktails. I tried out the Cosmopolitan version and they tasted incrediable! The only problem is I have no Cosmopolitan glasses (nightmare!). If I am going to keep these in my freezer for the party season, I think some cocktail glasses are next on my list of things to purchase… any excuse and all…

There is no mixing or mess – just simple, straight-up cocktails using bar quality ingredients from the comfort of your own home. What more do you want in your house when hosting Christmas and New Year parties this season?

This is such a stunning dress! I love the neck line, very plunging but still really classy. I hate the way midi dresses fit on me, they make me look frumpy. Which is so unfair as you look completely gorgeous!
