Last weekend, I was given the chance to head to the Liverpool Ann Summers store to meet TOWIE beauty and fashion guru Jess Wright, to view her new collection and chat about all things swimwear. The TV personality has paired up with lingerie retailer Ann Summers to be the brands first ever face and body of their swimwear collection. The Jess Wright for Ann Summers collection includes 15 swimwear pieces, with a line up of bikinis and monokinis from 32A to 38G, sizes 8-18 with prices range from £12 to £36.
Jess turned up to the Liverpool One store looking fantastic! She worn a fitted stripe detail bodycon dress and killer heels, and looked even more beautiful in real life. Jess has an incredible figure- she has curves in all the right places and doesn’t promote being over skinny. She has a womanly figure which is kept in impeccable shape, which I think is really important for a brand like Ann Summers to be working with.
The collection is stunning- bikinis in bold brights, florals, shimmering golds, creams, girly pinks and metallics lined up in a dedicated section showcased in-store. As well as bikinis, there is a range of kimono style cover ups and the cutest little playsuits. Women these days can be fairly body conscious when it comes to bearing your body in a bikini once Summer kicks in, so it was a delight to see this collection has taken into consideration the need to stylish beach cover-ups. As a naturally petite girl I wouldn’t say that I am personally body conscious, but I have never been one to like prancing around in just a bikini. I always like to have some form of little shorts on, or a kaftan style to throw over me when I get out from the pool.
I fell in love with the whole collection, but in particularly the Cassia Gold and Cream Bikini and the Black Lace Jumpsuit. So ridiculously pretty and perfect for me and my Summer needs. Think I definitely need to get a tan sorted though before I put myself into this cream and gold piece though….
When I asked Jess a couple of questions about her collection, she gave me a few pointers for SS15 swimwear trends too “Don’t over accessorise, just keep it simple with a statement swimwear piece so you don’t over too dressy. It should be kept simple and stylish. My favourite looks for this years swimwear have a touch of the boho trend going on, with lots of golds to bring out a tan” – looks like I’m in look with my cream and gold Cassia style then! She also told me how she has been fasincated with fashion since an early age, and has taken a real interest in putting this collection together. When I asked her what her personal fashion style is that she feels more comfortable, she smiled and express she loves anything bright and ‘out there’. That’s a pretty good view to have for Summer!
So I feel a little more Summer holiday ready now that I have my first bikini and swimwear piece for this year – how about you? Have you been eyeing up any new and exciting swimwear collections?
