There’s a little bit of difference today on the blog! All in the name of a new ‘model’…
I’m usually one of those that sticks to the name of this blog – What Emma Did – rather literally. It’s usually all about everything I’m doing, where I’m going and what I’m wearing, but today I hand it over to my boyfriend.
Aware that I don’t really touch too much on Menswear on the blog, I realised after a recent Autumn shopping haul with my other half, that its actually worthy to share a little bit of what he’s wearing too!
Don’t worry: the blog is very much What Emma Did through and through. I won’t be making menswear too much of a focus. But after these recent two items from Scotts Menswear came along, I wanted to share how great they look on him!
He usually dresses quite smart when we go out. Shirt and tie, 3 piece suit, waistcoat and trousers if we’re at event. But daytime outfits during the weekend are very different. Think casual, laid back and relaxed…
The first of his Autumnal updates is a chunky, warm hooded top from Fred Perry at Scotts. I love a good dark and moody grey hoody, and this one is perfect for the changing season. The quality is so lovely, it’s crafted in loop back cotton for warmth, with this zip-up hoody demonstrating Fred Perry’s dedication to fine fabrics and quality craftsmanship.
It comes with a nice shiny silver zip up fasten, adjustable draw ties at the hood, pockets at the waist, ribbed cuffs and waistband and the Laurel Wreath logo embroidered to the chest.
It’s one of those which is stylish enough for weekend wear, and casual enough for throwing on over your gym wear. Which leads me nicely to his next item….
As my boyfriend is a regular gym go-er, he was looking for a dark grey pair of workout pants, which out also double up as lounge pants now its getting a little colder. So here is Martin sporting a pair of adidas Original California Cuff Pants, which are the perfect skinnier fit.
There’s nothing worse than putting on some comfy style sweat pants and realising they still have the same baggy shape and fit as those old style we all used to wear back in the noughties.
These can also be called ‘track pants’ – but maybe I’m not cool enough to call them that! They come in a lovely charcoal shade and make a great choice for a relaxed weekend style, working out, or simply lounging about. I think he really suits a slim fit trouser, and the rib waist also is flattering too.
Both items are from Scotts, which have just updated their collections to showcase their shiny new A/W16 range.
I’ll follow up with a female focused post real soon guys!
