For those who know me, you’ll know I’ve been a few shades of blonde over the past few years. I was a dark blonde for ages, with long flowing hair, and I always felt rather ‘dull’. I kinda thought that the brighter blonde wouldn’t quite suit me.
Then I played around with the balayage look, which I absolutley love, however the upkeep was just too hard as the brown dye over my blonde hair just kept going gingery and a little too warm.
My latest look – at Pierre Alexandre on King St, Manchester – is a shorter, just passed my shoulder clean blonde look. It’s blunt in style, and bright in colour. I love it!
The key to this look when I book in at Pierre Alexandre is to have an Olaplex treatment at the same time, to keep my hair as healthy as possible. To lift my hair this blonde, bleach is obviously needed, which plays havoc with my fine hair and ruins it. I;m usually left with dry, frizz prone locks after a bleaching session!
Luckily, the Olaplex treatment which is worked into my colour leaves my hair feeling much stronger and shinier than it usually does.
Who says bleach blondes can’t have glossy locks?
I’m unsure if I’m going to keep it this short, as I’m kinda missing my longer locks already. Typical me. But we’ll see!
If you’re looking for salon recommendations in Manchester, I do highly recommend the team at Pierre Alexandre. I’ve been happy with my cut and colour each time, and for a premium salon, they are actually really affordable.
