A/W 10 Ladieswear – Henri Lloyd

I’m holding on to the last few precious moments of Summer. I’ve walked to work in my open toe sandals and flimsy blouses, only to get there with cold feet and a wet see-through shirt (not a good look).

Sadly, Summer’s fading away and it’s time to re-jig those wardrobes. Autumn/Winter 2010 trends include lots of layering, with knitted scarfs and cape-style outerwear. There’s also a big influence on ‘Refinement’ – which has seen lots of designers adding brooches, badges and stitched motif’s onto their knitwear.

The first thing I needed was some new, good quality trousers that can take me from my desk to dinner with no added effort. Henri Lloyd have just launched their A/W 2010 Ladieswear collections and I took an instant liking to their new styles of jeans and trousers designed for the colder months.  Their Caitlin pant (above) is a smart, wool flannel slim-fit trouser in Navy, which is a big colour to wear next season. Team with a fitted jersey top for a casual feel, or an evening top for a more glamorous look.

As for the good-quality jeans my wardrobe so desperately needs, Henri Lloyd’s Zoe Super Slim jeans have five pockets, branded square rivets and a super skinny fit, therefore will look perfect with a pair of high heels to take me straight out after work. They are vintage washed to give a denim colour that will go with anything – a must have staple piece this Autumn.

And for those days when all you want to do is dig out your UGG boots and baggy hoodies, go for a relaxed style with the Jessica Boyfriend Fit jeans, which look casual yet stylish. In a dark wash, you can get away with wearing this pair for a few days on the run (note, I never said I did that….ahem….).

Henri Lloyd have been dedicated followers of fashion this new season by taking on board the Refinement trend, and adding badges to their knitwear to fall in line with the catwalk. Their Danita cardi and Danita V-Neck sweater feature large crest badge embroidery and branded buttons, kicking off a range of on-trend knitwear.

And not forgetting the knitted essential all the stores will be stocking this Autumn/Winter – Cape Inspired Outerwear! Henri Lloyd are stocking this scrumptious purple Elisa poncho, with HL anchor buttons and Mother of Pearl diamond at hem. Time to get cosy!
