The Situation: I went shopping for presents. So, that’s shopping for other people. The problem: I had banned myself from buying anything for myself that would add to my ever-expanding wardrobe. The Answer: There isn’t one. Because from the corner of my eye I caught glimmer of a brand new shiny store in Manchester’s Trafford Centre that managed to kidnap my shopping soul, and my purse contents, for a full hour.
Fashion giants NEXT have launched dedicated Shoe Rooms in key stores across the country, providing a dreamy setting to make any shoe shopping experience an utter delight.
The Shoe Rooms are an ultimate girly heaven, with bright pink shoe blocks and curved seats providing a fresh new shopping environment. Just as I had noticed the new store, I had been previously thinking that NEXT have really stepped up their game in the style stakes, with their Autumn//Winter collection featuring some gorgeous key pieces. After being surrounded earlier this month by LFW fashion models sporting pairs of leather shorts in black, mahogany and tan, I had recently set my sights on finding a high street version at a good price. NEXT came to the rescue with their Tan leather-look shorts for £28, leaving me really smug for the day! However, I can’t say I had ever really gave much thought to their shoe selection before, but more fool me, the stand alone shoe stores have really proved me wrong…
The range of on-trend shoes was breath-taking, with patent stiletto’s from £20 and a collection of studded clogs which are really hitting the style headlines this season. These dedicated Shoe Rooms show us that we have really been missing out on the potential of NEXT’s footwear collections over the years if this little shop is anything to go by. Round toes, pointy toes, peep toes, wedge heels, kitten heels, platforms and pumps… you get my drift. Catwalk inspired shoe trends combined with a low price tag – safe to say this is going to one of my new favorite shoe haunts.
