Thursdays Cosmopolitan Blog Awards was a complete dream of a day from start to finish. There are a lot of blog posts going round from all the winners and shortlisters saying the exact same thing, so a big well done to the Cosmopolitan team for arranging such a fantastic award ceremony!
My day started with arriving at Sketch in London, and chatting to the lovely bloggers in the vintage style coffee area as we all waited to enter the ceremony. It was lovely to meet the brilliant beauty blogging London Beauty Queen, who told me a lot about the London bloggers which got me thinking about maybe a possible move to London in the near future. When the ceremony started, I spent the day with Andrea, one of the beauty geniuses behind the Pampered and Polished blog. We were treated to a selection of amazing cakes, fruit sticks and little bites to eat before the winners were announced.
All the shortlisted websites were projected around the room complete with quotes from voters about why each website was special. There were some really sweet messages that my voters had written about What Emma Did which was so nice to read!
The winners began to be announced, and Beth Wond from Catwalk Queen stepped up to join the Cosmo editors to present my winning award as my category was ran by Catwalk Queen and osoyou.com. It was very unexpected, and once I was presented my award, I was rushed off for interviews and photos with different fashion teams. I spent the rest of the morning with Katie from Focus PR, who looks after Collection 2000, Eylure Eyelashes and Dainty Doll cosmetics by Nicola Roberts. It was really nice to do a bit of networking (especially with the fabulous forties fanatic Diary Of a Vintage Girl) within the London fashion PR and fashion blogger scene, a lovely way to end the day! Oh and taking home the Cosmopolitan goody bags was the icing on the cake!
A big congratulations to all winners of each category, everyone had put a lot of hard work into their websites. A good day had by all!
