One brand I swear by is Max Factor. There are so, so many reason’s why I am loyal to the ‘Make Up of Make Up artists‘ brand, just some of them include stocking a long lasting smooth foundation for only £9.99 (really good in comparison to Estee Lauder, my second favourite brand, where I’ve spent £26 many times on their Double Wear), they sell a lipstick in ‘a Pearl Orange’ shade (I like my oranges!) and also that I have never used a face powder of such good quality than their Cream Puff.
And now they have just launched a one-off campaign, Max Factor Kiss Art, to raise money for the Macmillan Cancer Support Charity. The campaign works by auctioning illustrators, artists and celebrities pieces of art designed using Max Factor Lipfinity Liptint pens!
The piece of ‘Kiss Art’ can be a scribble, doodle, illustration, collage or even just words – as long as it represents the drawers own style! Some of the people who have alreay donated or are currently in the process include: Pixie Lott, Barbara Hulanicki (Founder of Biba, fashiond designer, illustrator) Amy Molyneaux (one half of fashion label PPQ) and reowned illustrator Jo Ratcliffe.
The auction will take place online at Ebay’s charity site on 28th March 2011 and full proceeds will be donated to Macmillan Cancer Support.
Max Factor will have its own dedicated area on the Ebay site, with information about the campaign and a quote from Caroline Barnes, Max Factor’s make-up artist, endorsing Kiss Art. Such a fab way of raising awareness! Oh and here’s my own version of a Kiss Art drawing…. don’t thinking i’ll be giving up the day job any day soon!
