Lately, I’ve been really big into wall art. It’s like one of those things I can just immerse myself into and be mesmerised by art designed for the home.
After recently re-decorating the bedrooms at my house, although the wallpapers looked lovely, something was just ‘missing’. By choosing the right wall art prints, paintings or fixtures, it’s surprising what a difference it can make.
So today’s post is just a little roundup of some inspirational wall art, prints and fixtures I’ve been looking at lately, whilst I’ve been fixated on home improvements. I discovered Artwall and Co – a European site – a few weeks ago, which gave me lots of creative ideas when I was decorating my own walls.
Metal Wall Art
Have you ever considered metal posters before for your walls? I feel like these are great for living rooms, or even hall ways – any room in which you want to make a bit of a statement, and has a ‘focus’ point.
As you can see from the above prints, this metal Tiger poster looks so much more detailed and dramatic. The metal effect is a real quick way to turn your walls and interiors into a work of art, and you don’t have to be bold with colour to do this either.
This black and white ‘love and beauty’ poster is also a metal one that is both striking and statement.
OK so I have a bit of a ‘thing’ for the world – you know like large scale maps, globes, prints of countries… this kind of thing always releases that inner traveller inside me. I have a number of mini globes and maps of the world across my office walls and cabinets, but how amazing is a metal wall decoration? It’s from Artwall and Co, and you can find it here.
This type of wall decoration is so stunning, but more so, it’s super stylish, classic and modern. This is the ideal type of fixture I could do with above my desk in my at-home office.
How amazing is the first image of this World Map metal wall decoration, with all the photo frames situated around it?
Speaking of metal wall art, I also spied this stags head version too, which actually could make a nice addition to a dining room? What are your thoughts? I literally love this!
Paintings which have been created by hand always tend to go that extra mile when it comes to intricate detail. If you want a real show stopper in your home, its worth investing in a couple of handmade paintings to give that wow factor.
Here’s a couple of my favourites…
The beauty of wall art is that it doesn’t need to be expensive. You can find canvas prints at reasonable prices, or if you opt for posters, you can always pick up your frames elsewhere and shop around.
I hope this post gives you some inspiration!
