Lifestyle: The Hoxton Hotel, Shoreditch, London

Last weekend, myself and a group of friends headed to London- my second favourite city after Manchester- for  weekend of celebrating her 30th birthday Shoreditch Style. I love the Shoreditch and Brick Lane area of London, possibly because I am quite creative and have always worked in the fashion and media industry, therefore the quirky, independent retailers and brands that inhabit all over this vacinity just wow me every time.

The unique bars and hotels, laid back vibes and uber cool ambience of East London just makes me love visiting this urban playground more and more. We booked a weekend at The Hoxton, Shoreditch, and I wanted to showcase a stream of photographs from the weekend in case you may be considering heading to the part of London for a weekend yourself…

The one word that has to be used to describe this place is ‘buzzing’ – the constant buzz and atmosphere is incredible. Groups are hustled around log fires, the bar area is alive all day and all night, the breakfast menu is lovely with a range of healthy and more hangover-soaking options, the rooms are designed to the most clever and stylish decor, kitted out with large professional office style desks, retro radios and spacious bathrooms. The reception area is lie a little creative, busy ‘hub’… I just loved every second of staying here!

During the day, it’s a really nice idea to have a walk around Shoreditch, even if just to explore to cute little cafes, eateries and shops. The BoxPark near Shoreditch station is lie a row of closely packed in indepedant brands just lined up to showcase their product and company in a form of ‘pop-up’; I loved exploring Niice, Moo Business, OnePiece and The Gift Box. This little pop-up mall is uber tiny but makes an adorable shopping experience, with people from everywhere cramming into the little units to browse what is on offer. The images below are from ‘Moo’ – a place I get my business cards from – how fabulous are these wall displays for advertisement? So creative…

In terms of eating and drinking in the evening, we headed to The Beach Blanket Babylon for an evening meal, where I experience the best duck I have ever tasted, along with sticky orange and almond cake for desert. The cocktail list is extensive to say the least, therefore I had the most positive experience here with both food and drink. Ambiance was spot on, and the restaurant itself is in a great location for drinks afterwards. We headed to a couple of local bars following our celebration meal, including a dimly lit bar hidden away behind the restaurant called LoungeLover.

The dress I am wearing below is from Lipsy at Get The Label – it is so beautiful! A lovely mid length lace number…
