All hail my favourite fashion accessory – the mighty pashmina. I genuinely find that a quality pashmina can hide a multitude of sins – a bad outfit day, a rushed morning and of course, throwing over your coat on a cold winters day. They also make brilliant wedding guest cover ups when a blazer jacket or coat just isn’t going to sit with your dress. I even wear mine around my neck in the office at work when there’s a constant flow of ice cold air conditioning. In my eyes, opportunities to wear a pashmina are endless, you just have to be quite creative and have an eye for how to wear them, and when to wear them.
The one I am wearing in today’s post is from online retailer Jules B. Jules B have been dressing stylish men and women for over 30 years, which started with the husband and wife team Julian and Rhona Blades opening their first Jules B store just outside the city centre of Newcastle-upon-Tyne in the North-east of England, back in 1984. Since then, more stores have opened, and they have won the Drapers Magazine coveted title of ‘Best Independent Fashion Store’ an impressive four times. I’ve discovered them from the brands online store, which showcases a complete range of designer clothing and accessories brands from all our stores under one virtual roof. Take a look at the gorgeous Oatmeal Pashmina I have from them…
I literally can wear this with anything, and for countless occasions. I’m currently showing you from my photos how I style it up for a typical day at the office, but I would also recommend wrapping it around your shoulders when wearing a dress for those evening occasions, or layering up a jacket on the colder days. I love this Oatmeal version, but Jules B have an extensive range of shades suitable for your own tastes. They are expertly crafted form a blend of silk and cashmere, delivering a premium look. Each designer pashmina can be worn as a scarf, cover-up or shawl, depending on how you like. Up to now I’m kind of mixing it up with a shawl-scarf cross over!
The good news if that I have teamed up with Jules B to offer one of my readers the chance to win one of the luxury pashminas like the one I am wearing. They retail at £34.99 and make the perfect wardrobe staple item. For a chance to win, just make sure you follow both myself and Jules B on Twitter, and retweet the competition tweet (check this out here!)
Competition runs for 7 days, ending 18th August 2015 at midnight. Open internationally. Must be following both parties to qualify. Good luck!
