I recently went a little crazy on social media over the weekend showcasing my time in Manchester, staying at the new Roomzzz Aparthotel at Manchester’s Corn Exchange. I wore a sassy little dress on the Saturday evening, and so many of your messaged me on Instagram asking where it was from.
This woven fabric dress is absolutely beautiful, so I wasn’t surprised with the feedback I received in the slightest! It features a pastel coloured floral print set on a black background, with a twist front ring detail at the chest, where the dress gathers together creating a low v-neck.
It’s midi in it’s length, which is personally my favourite length of dress, and has the loveliest three quarter batwing style sleeves. I’ve also chatted about it in my recent fashion haul video on YouTube – just skip over to about 4.40 in and you’ll see!
I teamed the floaty sleeve dress with a pair of embellished black heels and a large clutch bag for a night of dinner and drinks in Manchester’s Spinningfields. It was the perfect dress to wear on a chilly evening, because it’s longer length meant that less of my legs were on show, and it’s mid-way sleeves also meant the tops of my arms are covered up too – winner!
Due to it’s kimono style, I’d definitely pack this for any of my upcoming holidays abroad, and I’d even consider using it as a heavier style beach dress to throw over my swimwear. Multi-use at it’s finest…
The dress retails at £42 and I came across it from trawling River Island’s dress section online. It’s been so long since I’ve had time to actually visit stores and do some shopping that hasn’t been via a computer or mobile screen, but in all honesty, every time I select something from River Island’s website, it always fits well and looks just like it does online.
A new wardrobe staple of mine!
I’m also wearing the dress in my very first introduction vlog I did on YouTube yesterday (ignore the black panels, I was setting up my camera wrong and they’ll no longer be there going forward!). So you can see just how pretty in looks in ‘real life’ too.
I’m going to be much more active on YouTube from February, and I’m always looking for more people to subscribe to. So feel free to leave any comments, say hello or hit me a subscribe (the channel has just been born!) and I’ll be sure to hit you back…
