Fashion: My Classic Topshop Haul

Just a little post today to showcase a little bit of ‘classics’ shopping I did over at Topshop last week, because lets face it- who doesn’t love a bit of Topshop? If you read this blog from time to time, you’ll possibly know my style is quite classic. I like to try out different trends, and often indulge in the odd ‘out there’ item every now and again, but more often I’ll  put my own classic spin on my outfits. I’m a true lover of timeless wardrobe pieces that never date, and always keep an eye out for staple dresses, tops and skirts that can easily mix and match with other items. And I know you’ll find this hard to believe, but I actually haven’t been shopping and treated myself to some new Topshop clothes for so long. I can’t even remember the last time I popped in, and that’s terrible as I used to be a regular in the Manchester Arndale store, trawling the rail for a combination of basics and trend pieces.

So here we go – a gorgeous, statement navy dress with a little high neck collar and overlap to the skirt. This outfit can be dressed down with tights, boots and a loose fitting jacket for more casual days, or dressed up with bare legs, heels, drop earrings and an over-sized navy clutch. I totally need to add some fake tan… I know, I know… and I’m sure I’ll eventually get round to it, so don’t hate on the ghastly pale skin too much right now…

Keeping to basics, I also purchased a high neck black ribbed top (yes – from the basics!) and a high waisted denim skirt. Can you remember when denim skirts were all the rage? And everyone worn them? Then they just seemed to… well kinda die off? I used to laugh at my twin sister for bringing out her old trusty one over the past few years. Well look whose laughing now. I only went and purchased one, and I’m embracing their return.

Two simple, clean and modern looks. Just how I like it. Any of you guys love a good old classic look like I do? …
(The dress and black top can be shopped in the Topshop basics section in store).
