As I’m always sharing with you on here how much I love monochrome and grey colour palettes, I thought I’d incorporate my colour loves into an outfit post showcasing some favourites. I already blogged about my love for SheLikes.com previously (which you can read about here) but the trusty Aveya Black Crochet Trim Texture top has made appearance number 2, teamed with a grey Primark bodycon skirt for a simple look.
I love finding tops with 3/4 length sleeves as I find they make good all year rounders, and plus I am usually always cold so I am easily put off wearing T-shirts and vests due to bearing arms in this weather! Black and grey colour combining is one of my new favourite pairings for 2015, although I am of course still loving the whole monochrome look too.
Blouses are one of my personal favourite ways to add a touch of black and white contrast to an outfit. Perfect for work, yet suitable to go out straight after wearing one and still look dressed up, I’ve been finding myself hunting down some staple blouses for inspiration. Forever Unique have a gorgeous 3/4 style shown below, called the Samantha style in Ivory. It is also available in black, and features elasticated sleeves to tidy up the sleeve lengths. For £60, they are true wardrobe essentials!
Whilst browsing Forever Unique I also spotted this Alice Black Fitted Pencil Dress, £150, which is so classy! I love the subtle design and how it’s designed as a sleeveless, fitted pencil style to ensure it’s timeless and never dates. Another true wardrobe essential…
My final favourite way of incorporating monochrome into a fashionable look is to embrace the two-piece trend! These crop tops and midi skirt combinations are the big thing right now, and I predict they will continue to be huge players for the Spring/Summer 15 season. I personally prefer simple versions like these which don’t feature prints or designs; when it comes to two-pieces, less distraction is more! Take a look at the Emmy two-piece coordinating suits, available in Ivory and Black for £137.50
Are you a lover of black, white and grey? And the big question… how do you wear yours?
