Fashion: Manchester Blogger Shoot and MOSI

As much as whatemmadid.com is all about UK and global fashion news, I do love to cover anything Manchester related when possible, with it being my home town. So when I was asked to join Manchester based retail brand Grafea on a shoot with their Baby Collection rucksacks, I of course jumped at the chance.

I got to spend the day in the citywith the lovely bag brand, shooting in various Wintery locations around Manchester such as the tree lined walkways behind what used to be the Urbis Museum, and the stunning Cathedral nearby…

The leather rucksack I took out with me for the day is the Grafea Poppy Baby Leather Rucksack, £145. The shoot took place during the first week of December, so it was a lovely colour to get into the Christmas spirit. Such a beautiful rucksack; I could use this for casual day time as well as for work and little trips over the weekends. Really versatile and stylish!

I was also made aware recently about a really unique new collection of Manchester inspired products, launched by The Museum of Science & Industry Manchester (MOSI) and designers, RUDE. Taking inspiration from the Museum’s historic site and impressive collections, the product range pays tribute to Manchester’s incredible inventions and inspiring innovators.

If you are from Manchester and want to celebrate the city, then this collection could definitely be worth checking out. The collection, “We Do Things Differently Up Here”, celebrates everything that has made Manchester the incredible city that it is today! With unique, quirky and colourful designs, the products are certain to brighten anyone’s day. Products include bags, pencil cases, mugs, tea towels and notebooks to highlight a few.

I am a proud owner of the Manchester inspired tote bag, available along with the rest of the range in store at MOSI.

I can spot lots of iconic Manchester themed attractions, bands, and iconic moments all displayed on this cute bag! Speaking of MOSI, I actually attended my work’s Christmas party there last fortnight, which had a glamorous 1920’s theme. Dressed in our finest Great Gatsby inspired clothing, we had a sit down meal, bar area and dancefloor in the main entrance of MOSI- and what a unique venue choice it was! It was a fantastic place to hold such an event, so thank you to MOSI for an excellent night. You can see below myself and two work colleagues dressed up in our attire…

I hope you have enjoyed this Manchester themed post – a  nice little break-up from all my Christmas gift related posts recently. With that being said, I hope you are all enjoying the rest of the festive holidays!
