Looks like the worlds favorite kitty is about to go grown-up! The soon-to-be launched Hello Kitty high-end fashion brand called ‘Pynkiss‘ has appointed new start up agency Xpert to handle it’s global integrated account.
I’ve loved the little Sanrio Kitty for as long as I can remember, and although it has a child like theme, the whole ‘Hello Kitty’ brand in general appeals to adults and children alike. The Japanese quirkyness of the brand makes Hello Kitty merchandise that bit more unique. I’ve been wanting a little Hello Kitty toy to sit in the back window of my Fiat 500 for the past few months!
So the news regarding Pynkiss – Hello Kitty’s new high-end label, is really intriging to me, and I expect it will cause a buzz around the fashion industry. However, we have a little wait until we can shop this brand, with the first ten stores and concessions set to open in January 2012, and the brand will launch it’s preview throughout September for Milan Fashion Week.
Pynkiss has been described as a ‘grown-up’ Hello Kitty fashion and lifestyle brand, retailing clothing collections created by Italian designers and hand-finished in Milan. I’ve not seen any previews of garments yet, but as soon as I do I’ll be sure to post them up on here. First stores wil be opening around the Middle East, Toyko and Korea along with high-end stockists, franchises and online shoping available from mid 2012.
