Fashion: Jewellery Box Earrings

I used to be a complete jewellery junkie, owning hundreds of different pairs of stud earrings, drop earrings, pendant necklaces, bracelets, bangles and rings. I had six shoe box sized jewellery boxes all packed with pretty silver, gold and rose gold accessories. However, before jetting off to Australia two years ago, I had a huge clear out, leaving me returning with a quarter of my collection. Shamelessly, I’ve been pretty rubbish with updating my jewellery collection, and I feel completely saddened by my measly collection of old pieces.

So, in a bid to update my collection on a budget, I decided to focus on small drop earrings – small enough for formal ¬†occasions and everyday wear, but with a bit of interest for evenings too. I’m a true silver girl at heart, so I found a super affordable online store who sell some gorgeous Sterling Silver drop earring options for as little as ¬£5 a pair, and they are so pretty. I picked a few different styles – from celtic cross designs to mini hearts – to update my jewellery collection on a budget of around ¬£20. Here’s what I found…

I’m an absolute nightmare for losing the backs of the earrings, so if I can find a few pairs which have a hook type fastening without the need for any backs, then I’ll always prefer those. So luckily, the four cute styles I picked all have that – yay! No need to worry about losing the fastenings now…

My favourite pair from my little Jewellery Box haul has to be the Celtic inspired drop earrings, as worn below. They have such an intricate design, which is a timeless, classic and universal, which will never date or go ‘out of fashion’.

If you need a little update to your accessory collections, take a little look at Jewellery Box yourself and see if it’s meets your style needs and budget choices. I’m loving it for affordable earrings which make great options for both day and night wear. Oh and how did I nearly forget to mention – how uber cool is the packaging? I’m a sucker for that rustic, hand-made style brown paper and twill rope decoration. Jewellery Box have got fine packaging spot on!
