Every now and again I realise that my wardrobe is missing something- a type of ‘power dress’. I didn’t really want one that has oversized shoulders, or looks too formal, and seeing as it’s the Summer season going into Autumn, I also wanted a good versatile colour. After a little bit of searching, it looks like I found one, courtesy of luxury fashion retailer Great Plains.
I spotted the Freeway Tweed Dress and instantly thought that this can be worn for work, for after work drinks, for weekends spent shopping, seeing friends, and even for evening meals and nights out with friends. For work, it just needs a nice smart neck scarf and blazer, yet for Friday night drinks in Manchester it just needs bare legs and a sassy clutch!
I headed to London today with work on a series of press meetings, therefore I teamed the dress with some little studded ankle boots and jewellery from the Butterfly by Matthew Williamson collection at Debenhams. For £70, it’s a wardrobe staple and one that will never go out of fashion! Happy Thursday everyone… x
