If you’re part of the ‘Twitterati’, you’ll probably know there’s been a big ‘trend’ recently which goes a little something like this: #Christmasinjuly. For those who have been a bit confused, it’s basically because July is the month where brands showcase their Christmas products to the press, as magazines are usually 5 months ahead. So whilst we think it’s hideous viewing Christmas products in the Summer, the press actually need to!
So last week, armed with my notepad and camera, I headed down to Kettners restaurante in London, excited to enter the grotto style rooms that Debenhams had decorated to a high standard. There was a warm glow from the Christmas lights, a smell of cinnamon, and twinky decorations which filled me with Chrismas spirit. To early to get excited for Christmas? N’ah! Not at all!
I headed down with the PR Assistant from my work, and we nibbled on goats cheese and onion mini tartes whilst browsing Debenhams extensive range of gifts. We also took a well earned beauty break and had some individual eyelashes put on by Filthy Gorgeous, a beauty service available in London and Glasgow (hoping they will come to Manchester one day!…)
Nails Inc were also on hand, providing a luxury polish and paint service. I know the sun maybe (slightly) shining and we’re busy cheering on the 1st of August today, but shamefully I have to say it’s beginning to feel alot like Christmas!
I had a little preview of some beautiful and stylishly packed beauty products that are new for Autumn Winter, which I totally fell in love with. There were so many lovely gift ideas within the jewellery and beauty ranges that I was already making a mental list of products to buy my nearest and dearest this Christmas! I was in admiration of the pretty Betty Jackson.Black beauty products (perfect for the best friend!) and also products from the ‘Floozie’ range, which I haven’t really seen that much of before!
(OK I’ll shut up about Christmas now!)
