A couple of weeks ago, one of the loveliest packages from a cult fave beauty brand of mine, Benefit Cosmetics, landed on my desk. One of my swear-by hero makeup products, the boi-ing concealer, has been expanded into a full-fledged line, and Benefit kindly decided to introduce me to each concealer. Why thank you Benefit – opening up this package was literally a dream come true!
For those who aren’t familiar with the incredible Benefit Cosmetics Boi-ing Concealer, it’s basically their insanely popular concealer that has a mass of loyal followers. It’s loved for its industrial strength coverage, creamy texture and melt-in-the-skin formula. With the new range, not only has Benefit given the packaging a total makeover, but they’ve added three other concealers that are more specifically formulated to fit varying needs.
If there’s something I love, it’s more choices! And when it comes to concealers, you can never have enough (especially if you’re me who works crazy hours and burns the candle at both ends, looking haggard for most of the week).
As mentioned before, the reason the original Boi-ing Concealer is so beloved and award-winning is because it is a super strong, budge-proof concealer that camouflages dark circles, blemishes, and discoloration without those annoying little creases. It is also magically fade-proof and lasts pretty much all day long.
In the pretty tin lay four shiny new concealers, each packaged in super cool little boxes. They include the Boi-ing Airbrush Concealer, the Boi-ing Brightening Concealer, the Boi-ing Hydrating Concealer, and the original Boi-ing Industrial Strength Concealer. I found out from having a little research that each concealer comes in 3 different shades too, so you’re sure to find your match.
Each Boi-ing Concealer is formulated to blur, smooth, and conceal so you never need to worry about everything you usually worry about on your face (I’m talking circles, yellow-ness, fine lines and dull skin). They blend seamlessly, last up to 10 hours, are waterproof, and don’t crease, cake, or crack! I tend to use them either before or after my foundation – and both methods work miraculously well.
Here’s a one-liner about each one, so you know the difference:
The Brightening Concealer: brightens dull, tired eyes and discoloration.
The Hydrating Concealer: provides sheer coverage that hydrates dry under eyes and hides dark shadows.
The Airbrush Concealer: provides sheer to medium coverage that conceals and retouches, giving you a flawless finish that is virtually undetectable on skin.
The Industrial Strength Concealer: covers heavy-duty dark circles and blemishes.
Below, you’ll see that the first photo is me when I had just returned from a week in the sun. My pigmentation has gone MENTAL. Brown spots, freckles, redness and all sorts spreading across my forehead, top of cheeks, nose and pretty much everywhere else.
The two photos below show the smallest amount of the Airbrush Concealer dabbed lightly onto my eyelids, under eyes and where deep pigmentation has formed. I used the tiniest smudge of concealer lightly tapped into the skin, but it proves to blur away any harsh redness immediately. I still feel like I need foundation to properly give me a flawless complexion, but this concealer certainly saves the day.
The next product I’ll be exploring is the Benefit Gimme Brow, designed for eyebrows. To look at, it resembles a mini brown mascara, so I’m super excited to give this a try! Stay tuned…
