Beauty: March Favourites

beauty essentials
Happy April everyone! I won’t kick start with the predictable line of ‘where is the year going already?’, as we know that’s pretty much a given, as 2016 is whizzing by already. In a sense, I’m actually quite pleased that Jan, Feb and March have flown by quite quickly. I literally can’t stand the cold, horrible weather, and I love nothing more than focusing on all the lovely Spring/Summer fashions, beauty products and ‘nice’ things related to the warmer season.

So let’s take a look at the closing of March, and what new beauty/lifestyle finds I have come across that I’d really love to share with you all. The majority of the little loves I have listed have been introduced to me from the fantastic MyBag event, which I attended in Manchester mid March. So without further waffle, here they are…

wet hair brush
1. Wet Brush Pro Detangling Brush
This incredible detangling hero available at Look Fantastic is a god send for me. In a nutshell, when the team at Wet Brush heard the cries of us girls who struggle to detangle our knotty hair after washing, they sat up and listened. Aiming to put an end to the trauma of dragging a brush through matted hair and getting nowhere, the innovative collection from Wet Brush was born to resolve the drama. The Wet Brush collection of brushes will glide through your locks with minimum effort, relieving you of the daily battle with knotted hair. From using this, I’m finding it so simple to use, as it glides effortlessly through the damp knots, bringing me an untangled head of hair. It’s also a soft, smoothing brush to use of dry hair too. Take a look at the range here and see which one is suited to your locks!

vita liberata body blur
2. Vita Liberata Body Blur Instant Tan
Ahh I love this product due to the emphasis on ‘blurring’, rather than being a direct false tan intensifier. I have so many fake tans at the moment that I have to admit I am becoming a little bit picky with them all now. I look for ones that offer a little bit more than your average tan, such as extra moisturising benefits, non-staining properties, or simply ones with airbrushing effects. This Vita Liberata version provides 24 hour wear and a skin perfecting result – great for both face and body use for a subtle bronzed look.

3. Real Techniques Bold Metals Collection Triangle Foundation Brush
Well this is a new brush shape for me, but one I’m totally loving! The angled head on this Triangle Foundation brush is the perfect shape to allow foundation and concealer to blend into those ‘nooks and crannies’, as some of us may say. Think of those areas such as the corner of your eye and nose angle, which involved a lot of layering up. This brush blends seamlessly into the gaps, creating a smooth application for product. Not only is it super handy, I also just love how glamorous the Bold Metals collection of brushes look. The perfect addition to my little pot of brushes!

4. Jurlique Rosewater Balancing Mist
I was first introduced to Jurlique over in Sydney, Australia, where I noticed there was the prettiest of little beauty shops perfectly aligned at the front of Bondi Beach. At this point, I’d never heard of Jurlique, but soon fell in love with it’s natural properties and gentle formulas (and not forgetting their amazing scents and pretty packaging). So when I found out that Look Fantastic retail Jurlique, letting me try out these products now I’m in the UK, I was rather made up! This spritz is absolutely adorable, with it’s refreshing rose fragrance and cooling feel. For those days where I worry I have applied too many creams and treatments to my skin, I just spritz this over my face to provide a touch of hydration. Such a beautiful product for the dressing table too!

5. Cambridge Satchel Company Personalise Luggage Tag
I remember when Cambridge Satchel Company burst onto our TV screens many years ago, with their TV advert featuring fashion bloggers and vloggers, sharing their love for personalised satchels. Since then, I’ve loved the brand so much, and have purchased a number of their satchels to gift to friends for special birthdays and occasions. So I don’t own my own satchel, but this initial embossed luggage tag I received with a little ‘EC’ on it is good enough for me! So ridiculously cute…

the red angel hair
6. The Red Angel Hair Company, Manchester
So I sadly missed the blogger event last week, which saw lots of lovely Manchester bloggers getting their hair styled at The Red Angel Hair Company in Manchester. The great thing about this new initiative is that they specialise in a lot of ‘9 minute hair styles’ created in 9 minutes. Less waiting, less messing, and less money. This is a fabulous idea if you are having a Saturday shopping spree in Manchester and are heading out that evening. Just pop by to the stand they have in Manchester Arndale, for a quickie hair style created by the team of professionals. I have a little voucher to try it out, so I’m going to wait for an occasion to pop up and head on over! I’ll keep you posted…

So there you go – 6 lovely discoveries in time for saying goodbye to March. Let’s see what else I discover in April!
