Beauty: 6 Reasons Why I Love Dr Bronner’s Pure Castile Liquid Soap

So recently I featured on my Insta Stories that I swear by Dr. Bronner’s Pure-Castile Liquid Soap to clean my makeup brushes, and you all went wild. Yes, I can honestly hand on heart say that these pure soaps are the best all-rounders I have in my cleaning cupboard, because not only do they act as fantastic soaps for the body and face, they work a dream for cleaning, too!

Dr. Bronner’s proves itself to be one of the country’s most truly natural, hard-working and well-loved brands by scooping up lots of awards, too. The brand continues its winning streak this year by picking up three coveted natural product awards.

They have secured the natural seal of approval in the Psychologies Real Natural Beauty & Wellbeing Awards. and the Janey Loves Platinum Awards too.

It’s the Dr. Bronner’s best-selling Pure-Castile Liquid Soap and the new Whole Kernel Organic Virgin Coconut Oil that have achieved award-winning status, making them ideal for natural product lovers and anyone keen to move into an organic, vegan or cruelty-free way of life.

So, seeing as I find them the best natural way to thoroughly clean my make up brushes (I literally squirt some of the soap into a bowl, swill the bristles and give them a good clean with the soap, and rinse), it turns out they make fabulous baby cleansers, too! I recently gave my sister my new Lavender version to borrow, and she used it to wash her baby, who has really sensitive skin and lots of allergies.

Because it contains no synthetic foaming agents, thickeners, preservatives, fragrances, dyes or whiteners, it’s a super gentle and effective cleanser for babies bodies, face and hair.

As a bottle of Dr. Bronner’s best-selling Pure-Castile Liquid Soap sells every 2.2 seconds on average, here are some other reasons why I love them, and why you should too!

1. They use recycled bottles

Dr. Bronner’s Liquid Soaps are packaged in 100% post-consumer recycled bottles. Completely biodegradable, the soaps are made with certified fair trade and organic ingredients sourced with sustainability and a fair supply chain in mind. So you have peace of mind these are as friendly to the planet as possible.

2. They are super versatile

The versatility of the liquid soaps make them perfect for washing the body, hair, pets, the house, the dishes, as a makeup brush cleaner, makeup remover, and even a laundry detergent. All you have to do is add a few drops of the concentrated formula to water, and that’s all that is needed to get ‘things’ squeaky clean. Whether that is household items, your face, your body, or your hair!

3. They can ease skin conditions

Now this isn’t one that is a proven thing, but what I mean is that amongst their many variations, a number of them have been known to ease conditions like acne or eczema. For example, the Tea Tree Pure-Castile Liquid Soap contains pure tea tree oil which is really good for acne-prone skin and dandruff!

And, the new Pure Lavender soap which I have, contains lavender and lavandin oils to calm the mind and soothe the body

4. They have soooo many versions

Green tea, baby unscented, peppermint, rose, lavender, eucalyptus, citrus, almond… the list is endless! You can simply browse all the various versions and see which one suits your needs the most.

5. They can clean everything

As mentioned above, I swear by using these soaps for cleaning stubborn makeup from brushes. But also, Dr. Bronner’s 18-in-1 Pure-Castile Soaps are good for just about any cleaning task. Face, body, hair & food, dishes, laundry, mopping, pets & home… these work for everything with no synthetic preservatives, detergents or foaming agents.

Just dilute and wash away.  The fact you can use a few drops to clean the dishes is the one that blows me away. You can find me washing my face with one of the soaps, then washing my professional makeup kit, and then adding a few drops to my washing up bowl!

6. They are affordable

You can get 473ml bottles for just under £10, but if you wanted to sample a very small size to try out, you can get 59ml bottles for £1.72!
