Last night, I started to weigh up what items I drastically need more of in my wardrobe, especially with the weather changing so fast these past few weeks. As I constantly say on the blog – I’m a dress addict, and for some strange reason, after analysing every garment I own, I bizarrely don’t own nearly enough daytime dresses.
I don’t ideally want to spend anything more than £30 on a dress if I’m to buy a fair few in an online shopping spree this week, so I browsed around some High Street priced online retailers to see what I could find. Luckily, I visited Own The Runway – an etailer I’ve heard lots of good things about, however I have never actually made a purchase myself. The first thing I clicked on was the ‘Dresses’ tab, and was instantly brought to a page of gorgeous, skater style skirted dresses in deep autumn shades and unique prints. The majority of the dresses are under £30 and have such individual, ‘high-end’ design appearances that I quickly built up a wish list longer than my arm!
So that I don’t bore you by reciting a 100 dress wish list, I’ve rounded up some of my favourite dresses from Own The Runway that I feel would look super stylish when perfectly paired with thick winter tights and a slim fitting cardigan for those Autumn days at work, when I still have to maintain a fashionable yet warm look.
Notice how colour blocking has secured itself as a continuing trend for A/W’11? This time, the trend focuses more on deep plum autumnal colours and toned down brights. With this in mind, I decided that the dress I’ve got to purchase for the season is the one featured below. It’s my very favourite out of the whole dress selection, and…it’s only £19.99! Pretty amazing find!
